Single Vehicle No. 08
Adam Jonca, MMP Books, ISBN: 978-83-67227-31-5, 28PP, 300 x 208mm, RRP: £9.00.
This slim paperback volume from the series delivers a lot of useful information for anyone interested in the Polish armoured trains. Sub-titled with the English ‘TK Light Armoured Track and All-Terrain Draisine’, was an in-vogue method of patrolling remote railway tracks with the ability to off-load AFV’s to operate away from the parent vehicle.
We start with 1/35th scale drawings of the rail car that carries the Tankette, then two pages of scale drawings of various variants including the radio equipped variant with folding antenna mast. Most of the rest of the book is period monochrome photos interspersed with copies of original technical drawings. The last page features colour art work of a TK3 and the rail carrier.
An excellent and inexpensive book that covers an obscure military vehicle, although with minimal text. Ideal for the model-maker, but also of interest to the historian, perhaps also to the wargamer.
Recommended.
