Gecko Models Austin Closed Cab 30-cwt 4×2 GS Truck

By John Paulding on June 26, 2022 News

Continuing its Austin ‘K’ lorry theme, Hong Kong based Gecko Models has released news of a 1/32nd scale Austin Closed Cab 30-cwt 4×2 GS Truck to join the ambulance and the open cab version the company already produces.

Computer generated images show the kit will include a choice of cargo beds with either an open frame or a canvas cover.

The sliding communication panel in the back of the closed cab to allow the crew to converse with the troops riding in the back is included. As has become the norm with Gecko the level of detail is quite extraordinary. The canvas ties downs on the cargo bed appear to be individual items rather than moulded in as is customary with other manufacturers. A generous amount of photo etched detail appears to be included along with a fully detailed interior.
Release is estimated to be around September 2022 so keep an eye on the traders’ websites for prices and the option to pre-order to ensure delivery as soon as it is released.

MAFVA exists to promote interest in AFVs and their associated equipment and to act as a non-profit making organisation for the collection and dissemination of information. We try to answer queries or seek sources of information for our fast growing international membership and to encourage correspondence between those with similar interests. We aim to provide MAFVA members with a bi-monthly magazine called Tankette . Local branches exist in the UK and overseas and are encouraged to hold meetings, displays and competitions to enable members to get more out of their hobby by meeting others with similar interests and to share information and expertise.
