The West Norfolk group held their show at the Littleport Academy and Leisure Centre on 23rd June 2024 and Cambridge MAFVA were there along with other branches to enjoy the day. There was a huge variety of subjects and there was a great atmosphere, typical of these local shows where clubs from the same area come together and exchange ideas, techniques and generally chat about model making.
I felt especially honoured to find that one modeller had recreated the diorama I designed for Monty’s Caravan when working for Matchbox back in the 1970s, but this time in 1/35 scale. The larger scale heightened the feeling of a war torn European Square even more than the original did.
